The
Singing Pass area provides magnificent views of the Fitzsimmons and
Spearhead Mountain ranges and Cheakamus Glacier. The slopes of the pass
are sprinkled with wild flowers in the summer.

Access to the Singing
Pass area of Garibaldi Provincial Park is from the bus loop at Whistler
Village. The trail head and parking area located 4 km up Fitzsimmons
Creek is no longer vehicle accessible, due to slope instability. Parking
is available in Whistler Village day lots. For those hiking into Singing
Pass overnight, parking is permitted in the designated area of Lot 4.
There are three
major trails in this area of Garibaldi Park:
Whistler
village to Singing Pass - Length, 11.5 km; suggested
time 3 to 4 hours one way; elevation change, 1000 metres. Beginning
at the bus loop drop off area, follow the Whistler Mountain access road
for approximately 500 metres. Turn left on the old Singing Pass road
which continues along Fitzsimmons Creek to the park boundary 6 kilometres
from the village. The trail follows Melody Creek to Singing Pass with
its magnificent views of the Fitzsimmons and Spearhead mountain ranges
and Cheakamus Glacier.

Singing
Pass to Russet Lake - Length, 2 km; suggested time, 1
hour one way; elevation change, 250 metres. Good views of Overlord Glacier
and surrounding peaks.
Whistler
Mountain Gondola to Whistler Village via Musical Bumps
- Length, 21 km; suggested time 6 to 8 hours; elevation
change, 1300 metres. From the top of the gondola, Singing Pass is also
accessible by an alpine route crossing Piccolo, Flute and Oboe summits.
From the pass, return to the village via the Singing Pass trail. Be
sure to check on Whistler Mountain lift operations.
